Christian Hot Rod Association

The Christian Hot Rod Association is a group of men, women and families that are dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to people that happen to be involved with the sport of automobiles.

We are people that come from all walks of life - different professions, and different backgrounds as well as different denominations of faith. We as Christians want to share the Love and Joy of our precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We all have two things in common, always first is our love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Second is our love of the automobile.

In the summer of 1993, our current President, Scott Higgs, was called by the Lord to start this Association. For the next two years Scott believes that the Lord was truly testing his motives for starting the organization to insure that it would glorify Jesus Christ and not the cars. CHRA officially began in August of 1995.

At the first meeting with some close friends, the Lord laid on their hearts the mission of our association - Luke 14:23, "And the Lord said unto the servant, go out unto the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled."

Our mission is and always will be to share the gospel with everyone that will listen. We, through the blessings of Christ, have been able to do just that wherever we go. We make ourselves available to any group or organization to serve the Lord through a Sunday Non-Denominational Church Service at any run, cruise, or show that we are able to attend.

We have held Sunday Church Service for the Evansville Frog Follies in Evansville, IN., the Carl Casper Car Show in Louisville, KY and the Louisville Street Rod Run in Louisville, KY. We hold our own run on the third weekend of September where we also host a Sunday Service.

Some of the Non-Profit Community Organizations that we have helped through donations include the Center for Lay Ministries, Haven House, Brandon's House, Boy's and Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity, and the Salvation Army.

We pray that God will restore your life through Jesus Christ as we restore our cars with the help of our Lord and Savior.
